PREVIEW: VCF Mestalla vs. SCR Peña Deportiva

The second team travel to Ibiza for league action this weekend.

VCF Mestalla take on SCR Peña Deportiva this Sunday in a 12pm kickoff, as they look to claim another three points in Segunda B Grupo III-B. After two games in which they have come away emptyhanded, Óscar Fernández' side are targetting a first victory on the road this term.

"We are facing this game with the motivation of getting back to winning ways," Fernández told VCF Media this week, highlighting the good work done by his players despit the recent dip in results.

"I think that it will be a hard fought game, with lots of second options. The team who are cleverest, and who interpret the second ball best, will go a long way towards winning. At a ground like theirs, mistakes hinder you a lot," continued the coach.

VCF Mestalla and SCR Peña Deportiva are level on points, although matches for the latter team have featured few goals: 2 for and 6 against, with only 1 conceded on the artificial pitch at the Campo Municipal de Santa Eulalia del Río.
